Andrea Bottino is an Associate Professor at the Politecnico di Torino, where he heads the Computer Graphics and Vision Group (CG&VG) within the Department of Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN). He has more than two decades of research experience and his research interests span the areas of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Virtual and Extended Reality (VR/XR), Human-Computer Interaction, Serious Games and Computational Geometry. He has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications and led numerous national and international research projects, many of which focus on the use of AI and immersive technologies to address complex real-world challenges. He is also co-founder of TonicMinds, a spin-off from Politecnico di Torino focused on pervasive systems, distributed computing and XR technologies.
